Curriculum
When choosing a curriculum for our students, Kidz Korner LC wanted to ensure that each program instructional materials that were comprehensive, engaging and supportive of all learning abilities. We searched for a curriculum that would stretch children's imagination, inspire creativity and draw on what they already knew.
FOUNDATIONS FOR SUCCESSFoundations is a high quality, systematic preschool curriculum is critical to preparing all children for future success in school; especially those who are at-risk. For this reason our infants, one and two year-old classrooms have found much success with curriculum.

LINKS TO EARLY LEARNINGThe years between ages three and five are considered to be critical foundation periods. It is during this time that students are able to set the tone and pace for learning in the upcoming years. For this reason KKLC chose Links as a primary curriculum for ages three thru five.

Observations & Assessments
Each child will have a portfolio which includes a sampling of the child's progress. Depending on the age of the child, these samples may include artwork, diction, writing samples, pictures, anecdotal notes, photos, etc. Portfolios for infants and toddlers may include Ages & Stages Questionnaires, as well as copies of daily notes, growth charts, and other developmental checklists. Portfolios will be shared with parents during scheduled conferences.
Parents/Guardians, students of all ages will be tested throughout the year via recorded observations by teachers, certified specialists or the aforementioned ASQs. To ensure there are no biases through assessments, we have partnered with Nemours Children's Hospital and the University of North Florida to conduct outside testing. There is no pass or fail. These assessments are measurements to allow teachers (and yourself) know where the child is academically and what improvements are needed.
